all the ppl on #blueroom (efnet) for putting up with my CONSTANT scripting and testing.

Updated in alpha 5.72:
-- fixed MsgLog bug (wouldnt log private msg's anymore)
-- updated JoinScan to not /joininit on rehash
-- added /log and /pager aliases
-- updated popups a little
-- added more raw filters
-- added "/trace unfilter" alias (traces without filters applied)
-- fixed the /plugin bug (did not recognize script names in the plugins dir without full path)
-- updated /saway so that it re-sets you away when you rehash while away

Updated in alpha 5.7:
-- fixed bugs in a number of minor places
-- fixed horrid JoinScan (/joininit) infinite looping bug
-- actually added /killcon
-- changed the operation of a few aliases
-- slightly altered the /userhost alias so it will operate normally on *r instead of -r (since -r could be a nickname)
-- updated ALL script ini files this time
-- made /joininit have a variable which allows it to pause longer between each joinscan on startup (to avoid lag)
-- fixed channel msg logging
-- fixed JoinScan /status bug
-- altered /plugin to warn you if you dont supply enough parameters
-- altered the /gone and raw filters to filter out the away msg which replies if you are away and the lag checker is on ... now says AWAY in title bar
-- added a few aliases for ease of use

Updated in alpha 5.5:
-- fixed a NUMBER of minor bugs
-- added raw filters for /names /who /topic and /trace
-- added JoinScan
-- fixed evil timestamping bug
-- added a few popups (including two little fluds)
-- removed WinNuke 4.0 from distribution
-- fixed pager
-- fixed logger
-- added some nice touches on rehash
-- updated a NUMBER of aliases
-- altered /quit to add script name with parameters (and a silencer)
-- changed /mdop to include -c parameter
-- added Safe /names and /who
-- moved all /con routines to maininit.ini
-- "safed" /con to check if you are online when you start it
-- altered the screwban a little
-- lots of other things i cant remember

this is an alpha version of my script (alpha 5.72) ... it is still very much under development ... but i thought i'd post this alpha version so that anyone who wants to look at it can see how it works.

Simply unzip the zip file to the c:\ directory (you CAN install it in a different dir, just be sure to edit your shv16.ini) ... it will create a directory called shv16dev.

After that, copy mirc32.exe to the c:\shv16dev directory.

Then edit the file shv16.ini in c:\shv16dev\ini\

Help files and much more are on the way ... i update it almost daily, so if you want help with it or anything ... contact me at my web page.

This script will work on both the 32 bit version and the 16 bit version of mIRC ... though some features wont work right on win3.x ... (like the icmp status checker (/icmpstat) ... also, the winnuke4 program is no longer included in the archive (get it yerself man!) (the icmpstat command only works on win95 ... working on it)

BTW: The sengenhov clonebot is not included with this alpha version of the script yet, im working on it ... it will still work with older shv clonebots however.

Many of the commands are mirrored in the popups, but here is a short list of a few aliases (take a look at this even if you had alpha5.5 ... some of them are different):

/con : will connect you to a server based on your server list in the shv16.ini ... this command will connect to each server and time out in the time specified (see shv16.ini) (f4 does this as well) [SPECIAL NOTE: this command now warns you if you are online and about to disconnect yourself]

/icmpstat : queries tcp/ip socket information from the win95 winsock and displays it in the status bar ... can be used to determine if you are being icmp fludded ... (preliminary guard, working on new way to run it)

Parameters: -l -c

(no parms): runs the standard icmpstat

l: logged ... will log the icmpstat report to the file icmplog.txt in the /logs dir

c: current ... uses Netstat to query current connections (WARNING: do NOT use if you are being heavily icmped -- use the standard icmpstat -- if you do, you will regret it)

/r <nick> <message> : when used from the channel window, it sends a formatted reply to the "nickname" named ... also, you may use only a portion of the nickname (eg. to message blargman simply type /r bla <message> ... the alias scans the nicknames in alphabetical order, so if there is only on "b" nick in the channel you can just use /r b <message>

/gone <message> : sends an away message (the default away message is "bleh")

/back : returns from being away

/sban <nick> : works the same way the "/r" command does with the partial nicks. A screwban like BitchX's

/rehash script (or /init) : reloads the script (also can use the "rehash" popup)

/names : i have altered the names alias a bit to make it "safer". Typing only /names in a window will now do a /names on the active window, as opposed to giving you the /names list of doom. Obviously this will not work in the status or query windows. /names #channelname still works. (and if for some bizarre reason you WANT the /names list of doom, you can get it by typing /names all)

/trace : works normally (with filters) ... if you dont want filters applied, use the parameter "unfilter" before your regular parameters.

/who : i have altered /who in much the same way ... /who will ask you to confirm if you want the giant shitty list.

/userhost : because of the JoinScan i had to slightly alter the /userhost command ... simply type /userhost with the parameter *r to get a normal /userhost (eg. /userhost *r buttmuncher)

/mdop [-efc] [#channel] [nicks] : massdeops a channel.

Parms:
-e : exclude (nick list)
-c : channel name
-f : de-op in first round

The parameters -e and -f cna be used to either Exclude nicks from de-op or de-op certain nicks first (limited to 4). You can ONLY USE ONE of these parameters ... in other words, you can either exclude ppl, or de-op certain ppl first, not both ... if you use these parameters you MUST use a filler word between the nicks list and the parameters (where the channel parameter would be). This works on the active channel window, unless you use the -c parameter ... and then it works on the channel you specify in parameter 2. This one is slightly different than before.

/eggstat : this command shows information on your EggLink.

/status : shows a great deal of info on the script configuration and operation.

/egglink : this initiates the EggLink

/eggclose : this closes the EggLink

/plugin [plugin-config file] : this command is used to load plugins for the script. Ths alias searches the shv16dev/plugins/ dir for the plugin's config file ... so if you type /plugin blahplug.ini and its init script is in your plugins dir, youll be fine. You can also type /plugin c:\imastupidfolder\plugblah.ini and it will look there :)

/killcon this stops /con from operating, in-case you were dumb and hadnt connected to your isp first or something like that.

NOTE: /killproc and the other processes aliases do not work yet .... working, working, working.

FINAL NOTE: in this release, there is going to be an upgrade available ... it should make it a little easier to configure and make for a smaller download, as it doesnt need all the files it had before ... it will ONLY upgrade from alpha 5.0+!!!!! (it works using the /plugin command which wasnt supported before then) ... see http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/5473/shv16.html for more info.
